East-Midlands based recruitment agency appoints new consultant

An East Midlands specialist recruitment agency has taken on a new member of staff to help meet growing demand for its services

An East Midlands specialist recruitment agency has taken on a new member of staff to help meet growing demand for its services.

Provide Education has appointed Gina Short from Aston, near Sheffield, as its new recruitment consultant.

Gina, who is based at Provide Education’s Worksop office, will be bringing her knowledge of the recruitment sector to the business as she assists with the recruitment of supply teachers to work in schools across the East Midlands.

She previously worked for Kalcrest, a specialist construction recruitment consultancy in Rotherham, having taken an A-level in business studies.

Director of Provide Education Barry Simmons said: “It’s great to have Gina on board to help us attract new teaching staff.

“We service around 500 primary and secondary schools across the East Midlands and Yorkshire region and it’s important that we have enough supply staff available to meet the constant demand.

“We need someone who is able to help run our open days and source the high calibre of candidate needed to fit a range of job vacancies.”

Provide Education is an education recruitment agency which offers a 24-hour rapid response service to help schools fill supply and permanent job vacancies.

“It’s a fantastic company to work with,” said Gina.  “I’m really enjoying the challenge and looking forward to building positive relationships with all our schools.”

The company has more than 2,000 teachers, teaching assistants, cover supervisors, nursery nurses and school support staff on its books. Over the summer months its consultants run open days across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire to try and recruit newly qualified and other teachers before the new academic year.

Provide Education has seen year-on-year business growth since it was established in 2007 and has doubled its turnover and staff numbers within the last three years.
