The Fragmenting Workforce

Just in the UK alone, 42% of the workforce works outside the legacy ideal of full-time permanent employment. Whose choice is this?

According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), 3 million people - around 10% of the UK's working population - want or need to earn more money. One of the key drivers for the introduction by HMRC of capturing Real Time Information (RTI) was to keep track of the increasing number of people who have multiple revenue streams. What does this work look like that they are piecing together to make their optimal whole? How significant is on-line / virtual work?

This session will look at the way that organisational need for people to engage in work is fragmenting and what the implications are - from both a liberating and challenging perspective - for all of us.
