Ted Daywalt
Since 1999 Mr. Daywalt has been the CEO and President of VetJobs, the leading military related Internet job board. VetJobs has been ranked as a Top Recruiting Site on the Internet by the WEDDLE’s User’s Choice Award (www.weddles.com) and Workforce Management (www.workforce.com).
Following seven years of active Navy service as an officer and completing his Masters of Business Administration from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Daywalt entered private industry in 1980 as a plant manager in the steel industry. He later was a Regional Manager for a steel company in Cleveland, Ohio with responsibility for three plants and trading operations. In 1982 he returned to Atlanta, Georgia, and joined a major electric utility as its Economic Development Field Officer responsible for locating companies to Georgia and directed international sales and training. His career includes experience as the founder of an import company; as the Southeastern Senior Sales Manager for a United States based multinational chemical conglomerate; as the General Manager (North America) for a European based chemical conglomerate; CEO of a biomedical waste incineration firm; and was the President of a third party recruiting firm with national offices. Mr. Daywalt has been active in the recruiting and staffing industry since 1994.
Mr. Daywalt is published and is an in demand lecturer on Internet security, conflict theory, international relations, management, recruiting, human resources, eCommerce and the Internet for various business organizations, government agencies and universities.
Mr. Daywalt is a Thought Leader for the Human Capital Institute, a consultant for The Herman Group, a member of the National Speakers Association and is the host of a national weekly career radio show.
Mr. Daywalt is the Chair of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program for the International Association of Employment Web Sites and was appointed to the Small Business Council of the United States Chamber of Commerce.
He is active in various community and business organizations and has been elected to several national Boards of Directors.
Mr. Daywalt regularly testifies for and works with members of the United States Congress on military, veteran and employment issues.
Mr. Daywalt earned a BS from Florida State University (1971), an MA in International Relations from the University of Southern California (1977) and an MBA from the Goizueta Business School, Emory University (1980).
