Session: Combining Technology with the Handshake in Today’s Changing Recruiting Landscape

Presentation Description:
Methods of recruiting are continuing to change and evolve in today’s unending mission to get the right talent. The use of technology-based tools continues to be on the rise. Between online job boards, networking and social sites, online memberships, as well as others, it’s difficult to know if any of these are really going to deliver the talent you want. These technology tools may give you quick access to potential candidates, but if you don’t know how to treat them once you have them, your efforts will fail…these tactics must be combined to gain the highest recruiting success. There is no question that today’s advancements can help in the hunt, but it’s important to remember that the best recruiting will always require the “personal touch” in order to be 100% successful. Establishing a relationship with the candidate is the only way to confirm that you have a perfect match. This presentation will educate you on how to create a successful combination of the newest recruiting technologies and the “handshake” aspect of recruiting so that your recruiting efforts end by filling positions with the right talent for the position, the hiring manager, and your company.

In this presentation, you will…

• Gain an understanding of recruiting in the pre-technology era vs. the technology era.

• Learn how to leverage the benefits of technology while keeping the personal touch.

• Hear specific examples of companies that have enforced these practices and achieved higher recruiting success.
