Margaret Schweer, Ph.D., Vice President, nGenera

Speaker Bio

Dr. Margaret Schweer is an expert on the changing workforce and innovative ways to shift the relationship between individuals and organizations, and in doing so, powerfully enhance workforce productivity. She is Vice President of the nGenera, the Innovation Research Network. In her role with nGenera, Margaret has worked with Chief Human Resource Officers and their organizations as they have shaped their workforce strategies for the future. Her research identifies the most essential competencies for the future. As part of that work, she helps companies understand, cultivate, and leverage social networks to ensure they attract, engage, develop, and sustain talent on an ongoing basis. Prior to joining nGenera, Margaret has more than 20 years of experience as a senior human resource professional with global firms in the consumer products and hospitality industries. She holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University with an emphasis in organization behavior. In 2000 she was named a Top 100 IT Professional by Computer World. Her work in the area of leadership development is also profiled in such publications as Computer World, CIO Magazine, Network World, and IT World, and most recently SHRI Magazine. A popular and effective speaker in the area of talent management, she has been an invited presenter at a variety of human resource conferences and technical symposiums.
