As Vice President of Product & Strategy, Mr. Krim leads the product management, product marketing and user experience design teams for Yahoo! HotJobs and Yahoo! Small Business.
Kevin Krim joined the Yahoo! HotJobs team in July 2006, bringing years of experience in search, search advertising, blogging, social networking, online content and communities.
During his tenure, Yahoo! HotJobs has become the fastest growing Web site among the leading job boards and has surpassed Monster.com in the U.S. (comScore Media Metrix Career Resources, June 2008), created the nation’s largest network of local newspaper recruitment web sites covering 400 markets, and deployed industry-first products such as the R.E.A.L.™ search performance system and Yahoo! HotJobs Smart Ads™, delivering personalized, dynamic job recommendations to users via display ads across the Yahoo! ad network.
Before joining Yahoo! HotJobs, Mr. Krim held numerous leadership positions including General Manager for Six Apart’s LiveJournal.com subsidiary, a large international blogging community and social network. Mr. Krim had great success at LiveJournal.com, where he more than doubled LiveJournal’s registered account base to 11M and grew revenue nearly 50% in his first year through product and marketing innovations.
Mr. Krim also led LookSmart’s vertical search destinations, such as FindArticles.com, Furl.net, and Zeal.com, as the Vice President of Web Properties. Mr. Krim joined LookSmart through its acquisition of Zeal.com, where he was Director of Product.
Mr. Krim started his career with McKinsey & Co., where he consulted Fortune 500 companies on their ecommerce strategies and co-authored a McKinsey Quarterly article on the impact of new digital technologies on the radio industry.
Mr. Krim holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College. He currently lives in San Francisco with his family.
