Session: Collaboration, A path to long-term sustainable
recruitment
Corporations spend billions every year to attract applicants. In 2006, there were more than 1.4 billion applications received, and a whopping 98.5 percent of those job applicants are not hired. Many qualified and talented applicants are turned away for every position that is filled. Employers have the opportunity to harness the resources Corporate America spends attracting online applicants and aggregate it. By coming together, employers can effectively extend their candidate reach beyond their budgets, cut costs, save time, and improve the candidate experience. In addition, a change in the recruitment model can enable a company to help those they cannot hire right away, fostering good will among potential employees and current customers.
