Competing for Quality Hires Worldwide:
It’s All About the Candidate’s Decision
The staffing pages of your corporation’s website are the primary means that future applicants will know you. Their interaction with your virtual content, communication and images will increasingly influence their choosing you, or your competitor- at least if you want employees talented enough to have a choice. This session will examine the factors that influence the job seekers’ decisions and draw on best-in-class sites from around the world.
Gerry is committed to writing, researching and sharing his adventures, opinions
and data about evolving staffing models with the HR profession, clients and friends.
Together with his business partner, Mark Mehler, Gerry strives to observe and
influence new and evolving models that aspire to world-class, measurable standards
and satisfy every stakeholder. He is passionate about how firms design and build
staffing processes, the technology to enhance them and the systems to manage
them. Gerry wants to know more about the ‘playing fields’ where candidates and employers meet and he's more than a little curious about how they treat one another: how Job Seekers ‘game’ their next career move while Employers tout their latest opportunities.
Active in the Society for Human
Resource Management (SHRM), Gerry served as the Chair for SHRM’s national employment committee (’96-’99), was VP-at-Large on SHRM’s national Board of Directors in 1999 and the national board of the Employment Management Association (2001-2003). He currently serves 2004-2007) on SHRM’s
Expert Panel- Workforce Staffing and Deployment and as a
Past President and Founder of the NJ Metro EMA.
