Ashely Steinhausen has over 20 years experience in recruiting, including 13 years stationed in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo. He is the CEO of NewChinaCareer.com, the first English language recruitment site in China.
Steinhausen founded Alliance Executive Search in Shanghai in 1994 and grew it to become one of the city’s top Search firms, before going on to co-found Zhaopin.com, the first recruitment website in China. He has since held a number of strategic positions for leading recruitment and search companies including Manpower, 51job, Daijob and Imprint.
He is an Asia Associate of The Employer Brand Institute and has been trained in the usage of Employer Branding Audit and other strategic tools and is trained on AIRS SearchLab.

The Chinese market typically lags behind the more advanced US recruitment market by 5-10 years, in terms of adoption of new innovations and applications. The first Job Board in China was established in 1997, the first niche sites are only just beginning to thrive. Steinhausen will give an overview of online recruitment in China and will discuss the opportunities for niche boards in China, and the implications of this for the recruitment industry in China
