Standards in Recruitment confirmed as an Approved Accreditation Body by NPS Wales

As the deadline for teacher recruitment agencies to apply to the National Procurement Service (NPS) nears, Standards in Recruitment has been confirmed as an approved accreditation body for the temporary workers and supply teachers framework in Wales.

Commenting on this, John Randall, engagement director for SiR said “This is good news for the sector and follows the recognition of our teacher agency standards by the Crown Commercial Services (England) (CCS), earlier this year. As a fully independent accreditation SiR has been accepted as suitable, breaking the traditional prerequisite for an agency to be a member of a trade association, so also saving cost.”

SiR was launched in 2015 in order to meet the growing needs of hirer governance and supplier compliance in the recruitment industry through independent verification, and is available to all recruitment businesses operating in any sector. The process to accreditation includes a programme to help agencies improve where necessary, this in turn helping their business.

Randall concluded “In addition to NPS Wales and CCS England, SiR’s standards are also approved by the National Association of Head Teachers and are recognised by TEAM, the UK’s largest network of independently owned recruitment and employment agents, and the Association of Recruitment Consultancies. Our bank of accredited agencies is constantly growing as compliance validation becomes an ever more important ingredient to an agency’s list of credentials. SiR’s accreditation process is designed to add value to business from the top down.”
