Skills for Health and Justice announce new Chairman

Skills for Health is pleased to announce that Jeremy Newman has been appointed as the new Chair of Skills for Health and Justice and will take over from Chris Hannah on the 1st April.

John Rogers, Chief Executive of Skills for Health and Justice said “We are absolutely delighted that Jeremy has been appointed as our new Chair at such an exciting time of growth for our organisation; when our influence and value is being recognised more and more by employers.

“Jeremy brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles as Chair of the Audit Commission, a council member of the Open University and, in particular, Jeremy’s 33 years as a Managing Partner at BDO and latterly as Global CEO of BDO. He will provide very strong Board leadership as we pursue our strategic aims and purpose.”

Speaking of his new role, Jeremy said, “It’s a real pleasure to be joining such an important organisation as Skills for Health and Justice, who play a vital role in helping employers make effective use of their workforce to improve and sustain important public services. In such difficult financial times, improved utilisation of the workforce is the key differentiator for successful organisations.

“Skills for Health and Justice are a highly professional, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the strategic and operational improvement of the organisations with whom they work. I am thoroughly looking forward to picking up the reins as Chairman and working with the Executive Team and my fellow Board members in continuing to grow the impact of the organisation.”
