GetMyFirstJob announced as ‘Best of British’ Apprenticeship Service

GetMyFirstJob, the UK’s leading apprenticeship matching service, has been ranked as one of the best British businesses to work for, following an independent study conducted by the Sun newspaper.

This nationwide survey, which involved interviewing members of staff up and down the country from large corporations to small start-ups, was initiated to find the UK employers that have their employees’ best interests at heart.

GetMyFirstJob, who themselves employ 4 apprentices, was the only company listed in the ‘Top 100’ list to specialise in young people’s career development and apprenticeship recruitment.

David Allison, Founder and CEO at GetMyFirstJob said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be included in the ‘Best of British’ employers list and on a personal level, I’m delighted to hear that my team feel as happy at work as I do.”

“As a service that prides itself on matching young people with high quality apprenticeships that will establish their careers for life, it is imperative that we foster a supportive and positive working environment ourselves. From a business perspective, a good working culture is also essential for growth and with this positive boost, we look forward to expanding and helping many more young people take their first step on the career ladder.”

GetMyFirstJob, which now has a candidate database of 290,000 young people and works with 150 different training providers and colleges as well as a wide range of UK employers, has increased in size by 1000% since inception. Originally founded in Chiswick in 2012 with just three employees, the apprenticeship specialist service now has a team of 30 employees and has recently re-located to Portsmouth.
