APSCo receives glowing endorsement from CMI

The Talent Development arm of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) has received a glowing report from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) following its first audit since Julie Bowen stepped into the role of Head of Talent Development and CMI Programme Director earlier this year.

As a CMI Approved Centre, APSCo Talent Development delivers a suite of CMI accredited courses through its Management Development Programme. The CMI is the only chartered body specialising in this area, creating leaders through management and leadership development training, qualifications, membership and research.

The Centre Visit report specifically recognises developments that have been made in recent months to ‘maximise learner achievement’. These include ‘significant improvements’ in the monitoring and tracking of learner progress, enabling the centre to provide additional support to learners and identify any risk.

Commenting on APSCo’s operations, the assessor commented;

“It is clear from the administration improvements made this year that there have been significant and effective full-time resources allocated to the programme to enhance learner experience, including monitoring of all learner experience. The tracking system developed is an example of best practice in monitoring and maximising learner achievement.”

“There is an obvious commitment to continuous improvement by the programme director and administrator and a significant amount of work has been undertaken this year which was evidenced at audit – thank you.”

Reflecting on the outcome of the audit, Julie Bowen commented;

“While the feedback we receive from our learners consistently assures us of the quality of the training we deliver, receiving this acknowledgement from the CMI reinforces the fact that the hard work we have put into refining our Talent Development offering is directly aligned to learner achievement and attainment.”

“We are incredibly proud to partner with the CMI and I believe this report confirms our continued position as a centre of excellence. The professionalism and profitability of the recruitment sector relies on high performance teams, and through effective training we can raise the bar to ensure future success and sustainability.”
