AGR Awards finalists announced: Best student recruiters

The finalists in the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) Student Recruitment Awards 2016 have been unveiled.

More than 20 employers, universities and industry suppliers have been recognised across six categories for their commitment to raising standards in student recruitment. As well as rewarding the best attraction and recruitment strategies for graduates and school leavers, the awards highlight best practice in work experience and diversity.

Teach First and Lloyds Banking Group lead the way with three nominations each, while Deloitte and Ernst & Young have both been shortlisted for two awards.

Manchester Metropolitan University and University of Leeds represent the achievements of higher education institutions, reflecting the broad membership of the AGR.

The AGR Student Recruitment Awards, which have been running for nearly 40 years, take place at the AGR’s annual conference. Winners will be announced at a Hollywood-themed awards ceremony on Thursday 23 June at Manchester Central, where finalists will enjoy a gala dinner and entertainment from stand-up comedian Ed Byrne.

Stephen Isherwood, Chief Executive at the AGR, said: “We are delighted at the level of quality of the submissions. The broad spectrum of entries means that we can fairly represent all AGR members. All finalists should be proud that they have been shortlisted against such high competition, and I look forward to the awards ceremony in June.”
