Select implements online skills assessment and training solution23/06/2005 09:49:00 Select has implemented the new system to assess a variety of skills frequently required by their client-base, including office administration, data entry, shorthand, audio typing and languages. In keeping with the on-line system, Select is now able to assess candidates’ abilities in handling emails and the internet. Select is also able to provide a host of dedicated assessments for call centre agents, together with specialist spelling modules for the legal and medical sectors in which they successfully operate. The results are automatically stored on Select’s back-office system to help consultants secure job opportunities on their behalf. The results can also be used to identify training needs and, through the use of ISV’s learning packages, to build on their existing skills set. Rodney Jackson, commercial director, Select said: "The ISV system enables us to offer hiring companies a greater peace of mind as we have validated our candidates’ abilities, and a wider candidate-base to choose from as we aim to update their current skills portfolio. We have already undertaken an incredible 40,000 assessments since the system was rolled out. Jobseekers also benefit, as we’re helping them to keep their skills up-to-date and are ultimately making them more employable." Laurie Dobson, managing director, ISV said: "We’re pleased to continue to build on our existing relationship with Select. We worked with them to ensure that the assessments and training reflect those packages being widely used in the work-place." onrec.com news can only be reproduced with the permission of onrec.com or if onrec.com is attributed as the source.
