Secretarial job hunters favour guardianjobs.co.uk

The latest SecsLife survey has revealed that www.guardianjobs.co.uk is the top jobs site for secretarial job seekers. The research, conducted by London recruitment consultants Gordon Yates in association with Guardian Jobs, found that 42% of permanent staff and 65% of temps would use guardianjobs.co.uk to find a new job, more than any other jobs site.

Secretarial job seekers said they think guardianjobs.co.uk is more effective than any other jobs site, including monster.co.uk, reed.co.uk and secsinthecity.com.

The survey also found that the Guardian is more popular with secretarial job hunters than any other national newspaper, the Evening Standard or the Metro and that they consider it to be more effective.

Whilst press remains a key part of the secretarial job hunting experience for permanent staff (half think it is as, or more, effective than online sources), 70% of temps surveyed feel that the internet is more effective – reflecting the medium’s particular suitability for advertising last-minute or short term positions.

The SecsLife survey is now in its 21st year, and is considered to be leading industry research. Visit www.secslife.com to explore more key insight into the recruitment process, along with staff and employers’ experiences in the secretarial market as a whole.
