Totaljobs Group in 2010 Best Workplaces Rankings

Online recruitment firm remains in rankings for a third year in a row

Totaljobs Group, which includes industry leading totaljobs.com, has been named as one of the top places to work in the UK, by The Great Place to Work Institute.

Announced at a gala ceremony at The Great Place to Work Institutes' UK conference in London, Totaljobs Group came second in the best workplace for women rankings, and fourth for the best quality of life. Totaljobs Group was also ranked as the 25th best company to work for in the UK in a survey of workplace satisfaction amongst employees.

Employees from Totaljobs Group were asked to complete a questionnaire and on the basis of their responses, the group was ranked against every other competing company. A staggering 88% of staff completed the questionnaire and the results were conclusive:

  • 97% said new starters are made to feel welcome

  • 91% said there is a “family” or “team” feeling

  • 92% said they were proud to tell others they work here

  • 96% said it is a friendly place to work

  • A massive 90% agreed TJG was a great place to work

The survey by The Great Place to Work Institute, suggested that a workers' view of their employer went far beyond pay and conditions, with the trust in the management and pride in their work cited as key to engagement.

Totaljobs Group Chief Operating Officer, Shobhan Gajjar said: “Our greatest asset is our people and investment in them is essential for our continued success. We work hard to create an environment where employees have a balanced work and home life and are able to progress in their career - all of which lead to a more engaged and motivated workforce.”

“This is our third year in the top 50 Best Workplaces. We came 25th this year, up 12 places from last year and up 22 from the year before. It's no coincidence that we're also the number one job board business in the UK and our market share is at an all time high!”
