Saffery Champness joins list of REC business partners

The REC has announced that accountancy firm Saffery Champness is the latest addition to its roster of business partners.

With offices across the UK, Saffery Champness provides compliance services for audit, accounts and tax specifically designed to cater for the recruitment sector. Clients range from boutique executive search companies through to large multinational groups.

As part of the deal with the REC, Saffery Champness is offering REC members a free initial meeting with a member of their specialist recruitment sector team. In addition, REC members are eligible to receive a free copy of the Saffery Champness annual financial benchmarking survey report for recruitment businesses.

REC Chief Executive Kevin Green says:

“Saffery Champness has been involved in the recruitment industry for many years and we’re delighted to add them to the list of suppliers we promote to REC members. Recruitment firms need expert advice and support which they can trust; Safferys is an organisation which REC members large and small should consider working with.”

Simon Kite, Partner and Head of Saffery Champness Recruitment Sector Team, says:

“We are genuinely enthusiastic about the sector and passionate about helping our recruitment clients to succeed. Unlike many of our competitors, we do not pretend to be all things to all people. Because of our deliberate focus on recruitment, we gain greater insight into, and familiarity with, our clients’ affairs and the range of issues that affect them.

“We are very pleased to become an REC business partner and we look forward to working with their members in the future.”

Saffery Champness has a record of working with recruitment clients on specific areas such as:

  • international expansion
  • interpretation of VAT legislation
  • implementing share option schemes
  • profit extraction, succession and exit planning
  • employee taxation and incentives
  • corporate finance advice
  • umbrella companies, managed service companies and IR35 compliance
  • financial benchmarking.
