Leading online recruitment service, reed.co.uk, was the UK's most visited commercial job site in 2009 and has already broken daily records for site activity in 2010.

Figures released by Hitwise for 2009 show that reed.co.uk received a greater average monthly market share of visits than Monster, Jobsite or Totaljobs.

What's more, Monday 4 January 2010 saw new daily records for website visits and job applications, as jobseekers started the New Year by turning to reed.co.uk.

Mark Rhodes, Head of Marketing at reed.co.uk, comments:

Driving quality traffic has been core to reed.co.uk's success over the last twelve months and has helped us constantly improve the effectiveness of our service.

We've built a mature and effective marketing strategy, combining traditional and digital advertising formats. And, when it comes to recruitment, no brand is more credible and trustworthy for jobseekers than reed.co.uk.

Last year saw reed.co.uk continue its hugely popular 'Love Mondays' advertising campaign, with outdoor and radio advertising across the UK. A new burst of activity will launch later in January, continuing to promote positive messages around the jobs market and focusing on the volume and diversity of vacancies available on reed.co.uk.

Rhodes continues:

Right now, there are more people seeking work in the UK than for many years and it's up to us to guide jobseekers to the biggest and most varied source of jobs.

reed.co.uk will continue its ambitious plans for growth throughout 2010 and is currently recruiting staff to join its sales team.
