The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and the Elite Recruitment Network will today announce a new “strategic alliance” which will expand the range of services these organisations offer to the UK recruitment industry.
The partnership will see Elite’s specialist peer-to-peer training for leaders in recruitment aligned with the REC’s wider range of support services for businesses. This includes training for start-up businesses, courses in sales, legal and compliance, and training for consultants and managers.
Since 2000 the REC has trained and qualified nearly 50,000 people. The Elite Recruitment Network has worked with over 650 recruitment businesses since 2005, and has delivered 4,000 leadership interventions.
REC chief executive Kevin Green said:
“This is an exciting development for the REC. For a long time we’ve wanted to expand our offering to help recruitment leaders. When we consulted with our members we were told to talk to Elite because they are the best in the business at providing this kind of leadership development.
“We forecast that the industry will grow by 25 per cent over the next three years. We need leaders and managers at the top of their game to grasp the opportunities this growth provides. By partnering with Elite and combining our collective expertise, both organisations will be in a better position to help take the industry forward.”
John O’Sullivan, Chairman of the Elite Recruitment Network, said:
“We have always supported and admired the REC for its work to raise standards for individuals and businesses, and for generally raising the profile of an industry that is often not recognised for the enormous value it brings to the UK economy.
“This venture will bring together Elite's strategic support and the REC’s operational know-how, creating an offer that is unrivalled in the UK. For ambitious and aspirational companies and their people this represents an opportunity to rise above the average at a time when the market is more competitive than ever.”
