World Careers Network plc, the Internet graduate recruitment business, confirms that it is seeking admission of its shares to the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange. Charles Stanley will act as the nominated adviser and broker to the Company.
Founded in 1995 by Charles Hipps, WCN was one of the earliest entrants to the field of providing graduate recruitment services on the Internet. WCN's websites are accessible throughout the world, but it's main focus to date has been in the UK where they have built up a niche position. WCN runs a large number of well marketed and personalised websites, both for its own accounts and on-behalf of intermediaries in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Sweden and Spain.
The service has attracted a number of `blue chip' companies including Corus (previously British Steel), HSBC, The Army, The Royal Navy, Barclays Capital, Boots, Peugeot and Unilever, all of which are using the Internet as a medium for attracting the best possible candidates for vacant positions. WCN provides a full range of services including website design, advertising, application tracking, selection, research and marketing.
