workthing signs four major deals - 07/2001

Workthing has announced four new online partnerships that will substantially boost its on and offline presence. These major 12 month deals are with the UKs leading Internet service providers Freeserve, Lycos, Yahoo! UK & Ireland and MSN.co.uk.

The deal with Freeserve, which has the biggest UK share of residential access, makes workthing the largest recruitment partner for the portal and incorporates advertising, branding and sponsorship across a variety of Freeserveís channels including its Career Channel, Learning Channel, Money Channel, iCircle.com and UK invest. In addition, workthing will receive planned exposure on Freeserve TV.

On MSN.co.uk, workthing will establish its presence through a fixed workthing stamp across all news pages, as well as targeted and ROS banners. In addition, the partnership offers dynamic job searches throughout specially targeted areas of the MSN site including Encarta.

As part of the agreement with Lycos UK, part of Europeís leading Internet portal, Lycos Europe, workthing aims to increase brand awareness via both targeted and ROS banners. Fixed job searches will also be incorporated into the Jobs, London and Telcoís & Internet areas on Lycos.co.uk.

As with the other portals, workthing will establish its presence on Yahoo! UK & Ireland via banners across the network directing users towards each of workthingís 16 specific industry sectors. This portal will also have the added offering of integrating a dual branded salary checker which allows Yahoo! users to compare salaries and find out what they can expect to earn in specific job roles. By joining up with Yahoo! UK & Ireland, workthing are becoming integrated into one of the largest online classified sections in the UK.
