Working Places agency looks to the net - 05/2001

-

AFTER a decade in agency recruitment, Birmingham-based Working Places Dotcom has set up shop in cyberspace. Managing director Gerard McGuire is targeting the fiercely competitive IT sector with the new workingplaces.com site.

Visitors will be able to see more than 50,000 CVs from prospective candidates. Gerard is confident that the company can prosper via its gateway to the Career Channel Network, which attracts more than two million hits a month from 100,000 unique users.

He believes that the groupís ability to offer traditional offline agency skills, as well as the new cyber-venture, will prove appealing to employers. The Bradford Court Company also has a consultancy division, able to find, test and assess potential candidates for vacancies.

ìWe can offer a complete solution for employers. Nobody else offers this kind of ëa la carteí menu when it comes to IT recruitment,î said Gerard.

ìWe believe workingplaces.com will be invaluable to both employers with vacancies to fill and employees looking to move up the career ladder.î
