TV Giveaway Drives Employee Wellness

US Joiner, in conjunction with ACI Specialty Benefits, recently completed a successful wellness program aimed at improving employee health and productivity. With a 32 flat-screen TV grand prize, ACI and US Joiner achieved 60% employee participation˜over five times national averages.


Incentives are the way to go, says Dr. Ann Clark, CEO of ACI, Studies consistently show better outcomes with rewards. To create the incentive, the teams at ACI and US Joiner ran a raffle in six locations with over 300 employees. Raffle tickets for a 32‰ flat-screen TV grand prize and other profit-sharing awards were given to all Health Risk Assessment (HRA) participants. The assessment provides a snapshot of current health and identifies strengths and weaknesses. Data allow ACI to identify the top health risks and develop future wellness programs for US Joiner employees.


US Joiner‚s ultimate goal is a healthy, happy workforce and we know that can only be achieved by engaging as many employees as possible, explains US Joiner CEO, Jayne Rathburn. Taking this incentivized approach to wellness has not only gotten our workforce excited about assessing their health, but it has also served as a great way for US Joiner to give back to its employees.


The raffle was held at the US Joiner San Diego location during an all employee luncheon where safety awards were distributed and raffle winners announced.
