trendence UK and the University of Leicester have joined forces to host the latest Leicester Exchange Social Mobility event on the 2 December 2015 at EY’s London HQ.

During the Leicester Exchange event trendence will be releasing Social Mobility findings from the latest study, including:

  • What do you find when you examine the social profile of 44,070 UK undergraduates? Covering: educational background (state sector/private sector), whether their parents went to university, and their eligibility for means-tested funding.
  • trendence will reveal exactly how social profile influences UCAS points, Russell Group entry, and Degree Class.
  • How does social profile affect the students’ salary expectations and the ability of students to relocate after graduation?
  • Are students from a lower socio-economic background deterred from applying to certain employers? If so, which employers?

The wider theme of the Leicester Exchange event is ‘meet the candidates’. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak to recent graduates who will be telling their success stories: how they have developed into high-calibre candidates, the obstacles that stood in their way as a result of their backgrounds, and how they overcame them.

Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to, question, and learn from a panel that includes Professor Henrietta O’Connor, a Partner from EY, a Partner from McKinsey and a recent Leicester alumnus who has gone on to Goldman Sachs.

The event will close with a Q&A session, drinks and networking.
