Top UK Job Board Hosts Charity Coffee Morning

On Friday 26th September, businesses across the UK took part in the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money for cancer sufferers and their families.

Award-winning job board CV-Library knows the importance of giving back to a great cause, and that’s why they took part in this year’s annual Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday, 26th September.

To raise money for the well-known cancer charity, the firm held a company-wide Bake Off, with proceeds reaching over £120 – a number set to grow as donations continue to pour in.

With a variety of contributions from talented bakers within the business, the most innovative design was an iced sponge replica of the CV-Library mascot, Barney the Owl!

CV-Library joined a number of UK organisations to fundraise for Macmillan, with the event generating a huge boost for healthcare and cancer support funds.

Founder and Managing Director, Lee Biggins, says of the event, “We wanted to fundraise for Macmillan because cancer is something that will sadly affect most of us at some point. The Coffee Morning format worked particularly well as everyone could get involved - whether by baking cakes or giving money. The best thing from a business perspective was that the event encouraged inter-floor mingling and a chance to praise the talents of others.”
