The Adecco Group climbs further to 5th among the Best Workplaces in Europe

A strong purpose, opportunities and flexibility make the Adecco Group a ‘Great Place to Work’

The Adecco Group, the world’s leading provider of Human Resources solutions, rose to 5th from 13th in the annual Best Workplaces in Europe list released today. A sense of purpose and opportunity were among the characteristics most widely mentioned, alongside team spirit, flexibility and diversity.

Adecco Group jumped by 8 places over 2015 in the listings compiled by Great Place to Work®, an independent US research, consulting and training organisation. Great Place to Work® surveyed employees from more than 2,300 companies in 19 European countries to compile this year’s list and determine Europe’s Best Workplaces. The Adecco Group first entered the rankings in 2014.

10,000 Adecco Group employees in 11 countries participated, responding in conjunction with a Cultural Audit conducted by Great Place to Work®. The results show Adecco Group people feel they work for a company with a great purpose - providing people with opportunities, a job, professional development and a future.

That sense of purpose inspires the colleagues with passion and pride in what they do and helped to build the team spirit that makes colleagues care about and respect each other. Many added that they loved the diversity of a multinational company present in 60 countries, along with relative flexibility and freedom. They also noted the company recognizes success and achievement, with employees being listened to and able to influence the organization and the way to work.

Shanthi Flynn, Adecco Group Chief Human Resources Officer, stated:
‘‘Adecco people are warm and engaging. They understand that creating a happy environment for each other ensures that we serve our external and internal customers with passion and commitment to delivery.  This Great Place to Work survey shows how our strong purpose to increase work opportunities for people around the world boosts prosperity for our communities. We want to inspire talented people to want to grow with us and our clients. It is a strategic business priority to engage our people and to become an even better place to work’.

In 2016, 11 Adecco Group subsidiaries in Europe qualified for the Great Place to Work® national ranking, including Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Spain, the UK, Italy and the Swiss headquarters.
