Talking CV! is pleased to announce the launch of Talking Careers!, a new service on its website (www.talkingcv.com) providing career advice and support for jobseekers. To celebrate this, Talking CV! is also offering users a free CV Healthcheck.
Talking Careers! has been created in partnership with leading career management company Working Transitions, which has helped over 15,000 people from all industry sectors rebuild their careers following either redundancy or a personal desire for a new direction.
It includes guidance on networking and interviewing, composing strong speculative and covering letters, and writing effective CVs. It combines audio, video and text to offer practical, comprehensive career advice, and if someone feels they need more personal guidance, an expert is just a phone call away.
Users may take advantage of the free CV Healthcheck to gain objective feedback on how to improve their written CV before creating their Talking CV!, in which they are recorded via webcam answering a series of structured interview questions. This recording is then combined with the traditional CV and published on a personalized webpage and on CD-Rom. Users may ask the experts at Working Transitions to assess their Talking CV! as well ñ again at no charge ñ to know where they sell themselves short and how they may improve.
