StridePool.com is swimming with talent

New freelancers site launches

Stride Recruitment announces the launch of www.stridepool.com, the Southeastís first online diary service and searchable database of creative freelancers. Developed by cross-platform specialists Future Platforms, StridePool.com radically reduces the time companies need to spend searching for skilled and available freelancers.

StridePool.com offers businesses a more simplified approach to fulfilling their short-notice freelance requirements, and at the same time, enables professional freelancers, including graphic designers, copywriters, project managers and producers, web designers, and PR & Marketing specialists, to manage their time more effectively.

Key features of the site include a pop-up work calendar, CV, and virtual portfolio for each registered freelancer, along with testimonials from previous clients, links to personal websites, and full contact details. Companies can also add a pool of regular freelancers to their own ëfavouritesí list on stridepool.com, putting contact details and availability within easy reach.

Commenting on the launch, Hillary Harris, director at Stride, said I have worked within the recruitment sector for many years and have experienced first-hand the frustration of trying to keep track of available freelancers. We developed stridepool.com to help this largely neglected group to communicate more effectively with their clients. With many local companies recruiting cautiously and freelance requirements on the increase, we expect this service to become a vital time-saving tool for freelancers and businesses alike.

Brighton-based new media design company, Internate, designed the look and feel of the site and are one of the first companies to use the service. Craig Hanna, Internateís managing director says: We work with freelancers regularly and believe this site will make the process of tracking them down much simpler. Weíve encouraged our pool of regular freelancers to register with stridepool.com so we can have quick access to their work diary at any time.

Future Platforms and Stride plan to further enhance the site with a number of mobile alerting features, meaning that it will be even easier for employers to get hold of the right freelancer at short-notice.
