Sodexo, a leading provider of Employee Benefits and Rewards services, is pleased to announce that, following a public offer published on 12th September 2014, it has successfully acquired Motivcom plc, current leading company in Incentive and Recognition and Employee Benefits and parent company of P&MM, AYMTM, Allsave, Filmology, Fotorama, Protravel, The Voucher Shop and TreatMe.

The acquisition allows Sodexo to offer a more comprehensive and global proposition to companies of all sizes, delivering greater value and providing a more strategic relationship and stronger partnerships with its clients. This enables the company to further work towards its vision of becoming the market leader in Quality of Life Services.

Incentive and Recognition is a significant growth engine and a major part of Sodexo’s strategic direction and ambition. Today’s employers increasingly want Incentive & Recognition services that can be connected easily and seamlessly across many different departments, so it is critical that Sodexo can meet this demand by providing a broad spectrum of services that include Recognition, Employee Benefits, Sales Promotions and Incentive programmes – all of which have been designed to improve the engagement, retention and motivation of employees and customers on a global scale.

This acquisition doesn’t only strengthen Sodexo’s offering, but also reinforces its position as the European leader in the Incentive & Recognition market by providing its customers with the most comprehensive and innovative services available, whilst also addressing their specific integration needs. This approach enables Sodexo to enrich its offer to global customers through the deployment of a new combined expertise across multiple countries.

Sébastien Godet, Gift Market President at Sodexo Benefits and Rewards Services, commented:

“Motivcom’s achievements, innovations, thought leadership and market positioning are totally aligned with our own ambition, business values and Quality of Life positioning. The integration of Motivcom’s current offering and brands with our own will enable us to work with companies to develop dedicated Incentive and Recognition programmes for their employees and customers. We believe that we can leverage Motivcom’s knowledge and expertise in this area to accelerate growth throughout the combined business, both in the UK and globally, without affecting where or how the Motivcom businesses operate.”

David Lebond, divisional managing director of Motivcom, commented:

“It is clear that Motivcom and Sodexo Benefits and Rewards share a strong vision and common cultural values. This has been an important part of our decision, and the Motivcom board believes that this will provide tremendous opportunities for the business, its clients and its employees. As such, we believe that we have identified a way forward that will provide us with a significant opportunity to achieve our growth objectives.”
