The UK subsidiary of US-based recruitment company, CDI AndersElite has acquired the recruitment division of Ship Shape Resources, enabling the London based, privately owned company to focus on the provision of payroll and accounting services to more than 80 UK recruitment agencies.

CDI AndersElite is a renowned, international, professional services staffing company, specialising in construction, civil engineering and rail sectors. The sale of Ship Shape Resources’ recruitment division, which is effective immediately, ensures that CDI can enhance its business in the UK by using the expertise and contacts Ship Shape Resources has built up in the same industry sectors.

Ship Shape Resources will now put sole focus on developing and providing industry-leading payroll, compliance and accounting services to UK recruitment and staffing solution providers. Additionally, the company's technology platform, which optimises employment status while achieving full compliance management will be a particular source of revenue growth and strategic focus for the company over the next few years. Philip Ellis of Optima Corporate Finance advised Ship Shape on the transaction.

"We have a long and well established reputation for providing the construction, civil engineering and rail sectors with high quality recruitment services," said Simon Trippick, Vice President of CDI International and Managing Director of CDI AndersElite, a professional services staffing business. "The addition of Ship Shape's six-person recruitment team, client relationships, and contractor database will enhance our expertise in the construction market. We also look forward to providing CDI AndersElite skilled contract and permanent staffing solutions to Ship Shape's clients in the residential construction sector."

Howard Hughes, CEO of Ship Shape Resources, commented: "CDI AndersElite is the right partner for our recruitment organisation. This transaction ensures a smooth transition for our clients and contractors as we increase our focus on our core payroll activities and technology consulting services to the recruitment and construction industries."
