Redefining online recruitment - 02/2001

-

Many dot-com startups have recently learned a valuable lesson about creating a viable business on the Internet. The new saying in Silicon Valley goes something like this: Even if you build it, they may not come. Many new e-commerce ventures have recently fallen by the wayside, as their business plans did not define how they would differentiate themselves from other sites.

This is not the case with new online job board www.AECWorkForce.com, according to Mike Kemether, who heads the new service offering from ZweigWhite. AECWorkForce is different from any other industry job board, says Kemether. We are the only board that focuses on the architectural, engineering, and construction industries and caters to the registered professional. Additionally, we are developing a bimonthly magazine to help promote the site and to offer another method of bringing employers and job seekers together.

By following a well-thought-out business plan and developing a site that caters to the job seeker, Kemether believes AECWorkForce will be the largest job board in this industry by the end of 2001. We are religiously following the plan we developed, and we are having a blast doing it.
