Sometimes recruiting the right people can be a tough job, particularly if you are a company working in a highly specialist market.
That was certainly true for North East company Halo Thermal Imaging until they brought in Teesside-based recruitment specialists Techconsult UK to track down the right candidate for a key appointment needed to support their growth.
Halo, which is based at Durham Tees Valley Airport, develops thermal imaging cameras for marine, firefighting and industrial applications and they needed to bring in a Lead Electronics Engineer to help them take the next step in their development.
Chief Executive Office Ian Wilkinson, from Halo, said: “We needed to bring in a high calibre person with the right skills and a positive attitude. Techconsult understood our needs and found us the right people to consider for the post.
“We need the right people to support our worldwide expansion and Techconsult knew where to look.”
Halo ended up recruiting 33-year-old Mark Burton, who said: “I was not really looking to move but Techconsult UK rang me up and persuaded me that that this was a company worth talking to. It soon became clear during the interview that this was indeed a good fit with my own career aspirations and it made sense to move to a smaller company but take on a more senior role.
“Having someone who can spot those opportunities and cherry-pick the right people for the right roles as they did with me is invaluable.”
