Reality HR attracts new talent as it continues to grow

Throughout the difficult economic climate that has been prevalent in the UK since 2008, Basingstoke-based HR Consultancy, Reality HR has continued to prosper. Managing Director, Laura Davis, has recently strengthened her team of HR professionals with the appointment of Sue Kerr as an HR Consultant and Louise King as an Administration Executive.

The new appointments bring the total number of employees at Reality HR to 17 to meet the growing demand for its services; in fact, the company now provides outsourced HR services to around 100 companies across the south.

Sue from Bournemouth, brings more than 25 years’ experience to Reality HR gained from managing a consultancy department for a large corporate, as well as managing the internal HR departments of other large corporates and SMEs and running her own HR consultancy. She has wide sector experience having worked in manufacturing, retail, social care and outsourced HR environments. Her role as HR Consultant includes acting as HR Director for a number of clients, working with them to understand their business plans and helping them build strategic people plans to support it. All aspects of HR, from training and recruitment to performance management and disciplinary procedures, are covered by the role.

As Sue explains: “I enjoy working with a variety of clients as part of their business, to help them develop and grow through their people by adding value wherever I can. And I love the Reality HR approach which is tailored to the clients’ needs – definitely not a ‘one size fits all’ approach. I also love the fact that we are not a small consultancy and get a ‘buzz’ from working with a number of London-centric clients.”

Louise, who lives in Basingstoke, joins Reality HR in a move to boost the administrative support for the team. Her role is wide and varied and can include producing presentations, helping with branding, diary management, organising travel and supporting the Directors and Consultants as required.

Louise commented: “This is by far the busiest role that I have ever undertaken and I really enjoy looking after all the team. I was attracted to Reality HR as I was looking for a new challenge and I knew that the company had a very good reputation. And I can see why! They are a very friendly team who are all passionate about the business and providing a first class service to its clients.”

Laura Davis, added: “2016 is gearing up to be another good year for Reality HR and I’m delighted to welcome Sue and Louise on board as I know that they will be able to play a big part in our continued growth. I wish them every success!”
