Opus win duo of awards at The Sunday Times Best Companies ceremony

Opus Recruitment Solutions has placed as the number one recruitment company to work for on The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For 2015 list with CEO and founder, Darren Ryemill, being named ‘Best Leader’

Opus Recruitment Solutions has placed as the number one recruitment company to work for on The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For 2015 list with CEO and founder, Darren Ryemill, being named ‘Best Leader’.

The ceremony, which took place on February 25th in Battersea, brought together 200 companies in an event to find out where they had placed on two of the nationally recognised Sunday Times Best Company lists; Best Small Company and Best Not-For-Profit Company.

This is the first year that Opus Recruitment Solutions has taken part in the Best Companies engagement survey that can result in a place on the list. With a three-star accreditation, Opus are extremely proud to be named number two on the list overall.

Darren Ryemill was also named ‘Best Leader’ of all the Best Small Companies named on the list. He has also been shortlisted for two other awards over 2015; the OnRec ‘Personality of the Year’ and the Recruiter Awards for Excellence ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’.

It marks the beginning of what will be a great year for Opus. This week saw the opening of their second international office in Amsterdam and it is more than likely that there will be more new offices to come in the near future.

Founded in 2008, Opus Recruitment Solutions opened up in Bristol with just four consultants and now trades through four offices globally with just shy of 100 employees and ambitions to grow headcount further.

Darren Ryemill said, “When we found out that we had made The Sunday Times Best Companies list we were thrilled with the achievement itself, but the fact we are the best recruitment company to work for and been placed second on the list overall is just phenomenal.

“Being named Best Leader also came as a big surprise and I am hugely pleased with the award. I must also thank all Opus employees for working so hard to make Opus the company it is today.

“The Sunday Times Best Companies news has already had significant impact on the business as we are working hard to increase headcount to help our expansion projects. For prospective employees to know of our great company culture before they even step through the door is, of course, a brilliant result.”

The list will be published in a Sunday Times supplement on 8th March.
