Online Recruitment examined at Softworld Human Resources and Payroll - 01/2001

-

To help HR professionals tackle the issues surrounding employing staff online, the forthcoming Softworld Human Resources & Payroll (7 - 8 February 2001 at Excel, London) will focus on web recruitment through a new feature, the E-Recruit Zone.

E-recruitment is undoubtedly revolutionising the HR function and many businesses now recognise the importance as well as the complexities of integrating such a policy within the organisational infrastructure, comments Mark Abay, Senior Market Manager for Softworld Human Resources & Payroll. Issues such as choosing the right software, implementing and upgrading the technology and having adequate in-house support in place to maintain the technology, can all affect the successful implementation of a web-recruitment policy.

The new 'E-Recruit Zone' at Softworld comprises a dedicated area within the exhibition showcasing the range of offerings for online recruitment. The zone will feature exhibitors such as Online Recruitment, Job Partners, PeopleBank, Peopleclick and e-recruitment.com who will be demonstrating the latest technologies for businesses planning to recruit via the Internet.

Softworld exhibitors will also be running a series of vendor seminars offering advice on creating and implementing a strategy for web recruitment and helping visitors to choose the right software.

Softworld Human Resources & Payroll also comprises an exhibition, featuring key players such as Peoplesoft, Softworks Computing and Topaz, as well as a series of Executive Masterclasses, designed to offer delegates independent advice and information on a range of business issues, hosted by leading consultancies and blue chip companies.

The Masterclasses kick off with a series of free breakfast briefings hosted by the top five consultancies such as KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, these hourly sessions start by assessing the importance of IT within people management.
