NORAS

.

National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS) will provide recruiters with definitive information on the users of job boards.

Enhance Media has announced that the first wave of NORAS is scheduled for March 2002. NORAS collects the demographic data from the UKs top online recruitment sites and combines this with audited unique user figures in order to produce definitive standard data for recruitment advertisers.

NORAS has received wide support from the online recruitment industry and the exact demographic data to be collected through the survey will be agreed by a series of meetings between job boards, HR professionals and recruitment advertising agencies in February.

The results of NORAS, which will be freely available to everyone, will be published in April and will allow the direct comparison of the users of online recruitment sites for the first time. This will allow recruiters to effectively differentiate between online recruitment sites and help choose the best site for online advertising.

Unique user data for NORAS is collected by Red Sheriff and then audited by Electronic ABC. These figures are then combined with demographic data collected from each site by Virtual Surveys to produce comprehensive user profiles for all participants.

A number of leading UK online recruitment sites, including, GoJobsite, PlanetRecruit, TotalJobs and Workthing are all participating in NORAS.
