The Recruitment and Employment Confederation have today (17 April) opened nominations for six positions on its council, the governing body of the organisation. Nominations are sought for four non-executive directors to represent corporate members, and two non-executive directors to represent individual members of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP).
The deadline for nominations is Tuesday 5 May. REC members will be given the opportunity to vote between 21 May – 15 June, and the results of the election will be announced on 17 June at the REC’s Annual General Meeting.
Elected nominees will become part of a council of 24 non-executive directors, of which 17 represent corporate members and seven represent the IRP.
Neil Smith MBE, managing director of Kinetic plc and REC chairman, says:

Council members have the opportunity to influence the direction of campaigns to drive up industry standards, and to contribute to future success of the UK’s recruitment industry.
