Monster poised for growth with new appointments at the top

Andrew Sumner takes role of Managing Director, while digital expert Sinead Bunting is new marketing head

Monster.co.uk has today announced two senior appointments, with Andrew Sumner taking the role of Managing Director, UK & Ireland, while Sinead Bunting has been appointed as Marketing Director.

The appointments come as Monster looks to build on its investment in an innovative range of HR and job matching technologies that enable candidates and employers to ‘Find Better’. These include its proprietary 6Sense™ semantic search technology; Career Ad Network, which enables recruiters to effectively reach passive jobseekers; and SeeMore, which enables HR managers to easily navigate numerous talent databases.

Mr Sumner brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously held a number of senior positions primarily in the telecommunications industry, including Managing Director at Reliance Globalcom, Global Sales and Marketing Director at Easynet and Sales Director at Cable & Wireless. He joined Monster as Sales Director in May 2012

With his background in sales and marketing, Mr Sumner will be responsible for ensuring Monster maintains its customer-centric approach, working to understand client needs and tailoring its services accordingly.

Ms Bunting has been promoted from Media & Alliances Director at Monster, in which role she oversaw the recent £2.5million multi-channel ‘Find Better’ advertising campaign – the first of its kind for Monster UK. She will be responsible for building on this success by further developing Monster’s ‘Find Better’ brand promise and raising awareness of its innovative range of HR technology solutions. Previously Ms Bunting was Director and digital lead at MediaCom, where she was responsible for helping to launch the first recruitment marketing division within a media consumer agency.

Andrew Sumner:

“It is a really exciting time to be joining Monster. Our innovative technology and product range leads the market, while the brand is in a strong position following an effective and high profile marketing campaign, encouraging jobseekers to ‘Find Better’. I am looking forward to building on these successes in the coming months to drive growth for the business.”

Sinead Bunting:

“I have a real passion for technology, especially when it is used to bring employers and jobseekers together,” said Ms Bunting. “That’s what drew me to Monster, and makes it the perfect career destination. It is an advanced technology company with the ability to help people to find better in their careers.

“Yet Monster’s technological capability is its best-kept secret. Our offering has evolved hugely over recent years and it is important that we also evolve our marketing to effectively tell this brand story.”
