Midland recruitment firm scoops another top employer award

A specialist Midland recruitment agency has been named as one of the UK’s best places to work for the second time this year

A specialist Midland recruitment agency has been named as one of the UK’s best places to work for the second time this year.

Consilium Group, which employs over 30 people across its bases in Warwickshire and Worcestershire, has been voted as the Best Company To Work For in the 50 employees or less category at the 2014 IRP Awards, hosted and awarded by industry body the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.

It’s the third time the firm has been shortlisted for the national award which recognises excellence within the recruitment sector - going one step further this year after being Highly Commended by the judging panel in 2013

The accolade for Consilium, which places skilled engineering, management professionals, and industry executives into employers including Jaguar Land Rover, Bosch, The MTC and energy giant Shell, comes only six months after it was voted one of the country’s best employers by the Great Places to Work Institute.

It caps a memorable year for Consilium Group who in September also moved to a new £500,000 headquarters in Stratford-upon-Avon which now houses its growing team as they seek talent for advanced manufacturing, automotive, aerospace and energy sectors.

Director and co-founder Adrian Elwell, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be recognised by the industry’s official trade body and to be listed as one of the country’s top places to work. We have been shortlisted in previous years so to walk away with the top prize is superb for us all.

“We work hard to make Consilium a good place to work and have introduced a number of initiatives for employees to keep them engaged and maintain high morale. People see a long-term future with us and how they can develop a career in the industry.

“We’ve built a team with a frightening level of talent since we started in 2001 and I really can’t thank them enough for their dedication.

“It really is the icing on the cake for what has been a superb year for us. Our team is growing, we have invested heavily in our infrastructure and more and more firms are putting their faith in us to find the talent they need.”

The judges praised Consilium Group for their approach to flexible working, training and talent development, their reward scheme, and for their work with charities and the local community.

The team received their award at a ceremony in central London which was hosted by writer, broadcaster and former Communards star, The Reverend Richard Coles.

Aside from their Stratford-upon-Avon headquarters, Consilium Group also has an office in Stourport-on-Severn.
