Mercury xRM brings Microsoft’s Power BI to the recruitment industry

For the first time ever, busy recruitment managers are being given access to a new Microsoft tool that can significantly aid better decision making, through Mercury xRM recruitment software.

The application, which is powered by Microsoft Dynamics CRM, has been enhanced to integrate seamlessly with Microsoft’s Power BI tool, to help Recruitment Managers better identify risks and opportunities for their agency. Power BI uses powerful analytics to collate multiple data streams, including an agency’s financial data, into one single dashboard to help users identify and realise trends as they happen, to help them grow their business.

The industry-first announcement comes at a time when the latest CIO tech report from Gartner has highlighted that advanced analytics is the number one technological priority for CIOs in 2016.

For recruitment managers, this means that masses of information can all be analysed in one single dashboard, making it quick and easy to view information such as top billers, locations where vacancies close in the shortest time, and the amount of revenue generated over a specific period of time; vital information that can help to structure an agency’s growth plan.

Chris Kendrick, Sales Director at Mercury xRM, explained how recruitment managers can utilise Power BI to leverage growth opportunities. He commented: “The recruitment industry is no stranger to the power of Big Data, and the ways in which it is changing the recruitment landscape, from empowering the candidate experience to its use in reporting.

“With Power BI, reporting gets taken to the next level. Recruitment Managers are now able to collate multiple streams into one single dashboard which has been personalised to their specific requirements. It’s a good way of helping recruitment agencies to build a competitive advantage, by better working with powerful data from across their business in intuitive ways.”

According to figures released by REC the UK recruitment industry is currently worth  £31.5bn, £4.5bn more than its pre-recession peak of £27bn, and with this figure set to continue to grow throughout 2016 recruitment agencies must now look at ways they can successfully leverage new opportunities in order to remain competitive. Power BI puts information at the fingerprints of recruitment managers and helps them to utilise data to make better, more informed decisions.

This is the first time that Power BI has been brought to the recruitment industry, made possible thanks to Mercury xRM’s close relationship with Microsoft, and its Dynamics CRM framework.

Power BI is a natural extension of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform and a single sign on for users is made possible because of its natural fit with office 365, so the experience for users is seamless. The cloud based solution is also fully mobile, allowing recruitment managers to gain access to dashboards whilst on the go.
