#loveyourjob - Peninsula targets millennials looking for a rewarding career

Love might be in the air in the run up to Valentine’s Day, but that isn’t necessarily the case with today’s workforce, particularly for the millennial generation.

According to Deloitte, nearly three quarters of millennials plan to leave their job within the next 5 years and set to increase further by 2020. With this in mind, Peninsula Business Services has launched a 12 month social media campaign aimed at targeting millennial job seekers who are looking to start a rewarding career, encouraging them to #loveyourjob.

The important word is career and not job. With the employment rate at an all-time high, the millennial generation are taking the time to be more selective in the company they decide to work for, basing their decisions on whether an organisations values and beliefs aligns with their own. Millennials want to stamp their mark on the world of business, adding value and merit to a business beyond financial gains.

Wendy Moore, Head of Recruitment at Peninsula said today, “Currently, millennials represent the largest proportion of the job-seeking market, so understanding how to tap into what motivates and inspires this generation is extremely important. At Peninsula, our employees represent the core of our business. They are the individuals who are driving our organisation to continued success and who strive to provide the best possible service to our loyal client base. We pride ourselves on offering supportive and nurturing environment where learning, progression and a fun workplace culture represent our core organisational values.”

Peter Done, Managing Director of Peninsula added, “Millennials are tech savvy, digital natives, who use social media as a place to research and gain insight into companies they would like to work for. Therefore it makes perfect sense to have social media as the focus our recruitment strategy. The #loveyourjob campaign aims to show potential candidates what working for Peninsula is all about from the eyes of the very people who shape our business, our employees. As an award winning company, we want to continue inspiring the next generation of workers, encouraging them to become part of a workforce who feel more like family, than colleagues.”
