LMI-UK growth reflects growing importance of leadership development

It has been a good year for Leadership Management International (LMI) UK, one of the leading people development organisations, with sales of its programmes in 2016 up 29% over the previous year.

The business, which helps business owners and managers become better, more effective leaders, also recruited 6 new franchise owners throughout the year as confidence grew across the UK business sector following June’s Brexit referendum.

LMI-UK Franchise Director Ray King commented: “Our programmes help develop people. When employment levels are high, we find there is a greater need for better managers and leaders with the vision to drive growth, productivity and ultimately profitability.

“Our biggest seller this year has been our Effective Leadership Development programme, which does what it says on the tin. We believe everyone has the talent to lead within them, but many lack the awareness or skills to make the most of what they have.

“Nurturing this talent and helping it bloom will help managers develop the leadership skills they need to become effective leaders.

“Many of our clients this year have told us they are resigned to Brexit and the potentially tough economic conditions, but they are preparing early and ensuring their businesses are ready for the fight. A typically British approach.

“With talk of tough times ahead, or greater prosperity depending on the media you read or experts you listen to, developing people to be better managers and leaders can only be beneficial in the long run.

“Developing people to their full potential undoubtedly means productivity will increase, efficiency will improve and staff retention rates will be higher. And those businesses looking to get more out of their people will gain the slight edge that ensures they remain competitive and successful regardless of the future economic situation.

“LMI-UK’s growth and the greater recognition of the need to develop better leaders has raised our profile in the market. This has not only meant more programmes sold, but has attracted interest from those entrepreneurial individuals looking to own a franchise and strike out on their own.

“LMI-UK is a growing brand and offers world-class programmes of unrivalled quality. Through our unique delivery methods, we achieve the desired change a client needs to deliver lasting results.

“All of which helped us appoint 6 new franchise owners in 2016, ready to accept the challenge of running their own business, backed by LMI-UK and the global LMI brand.

“Whilst 2016 has been a good year for LMI-UK, I expect the determination of UK businesses to succeed amid all the Brexit uncertainty will prove the catalyst for 2017 being our best year ever.”
