KPMG’s Vincent Neate makes it into the first Disability Power 100 List

Vincent Neate, partner and Head of KPMG UK’s Sustainability Services practice, has today been named as one of the most influential people in Britain with a disability or impairment, in the first ever Power 100 list

Vincent Neate, partner and Head of KPMG UK’s Sustainability Services practice, has today been named as one of the most influential people in Britain with a disability or impairment, in the first ever Power 100 list.

Created by Powerful Media in partnership with The Shaw Trust, the list celebrates achievements across the world of business, entertainment, science and sport.  It identifies individuals who have reached the pinnacle of their chosen profession and recognises the steps they have taken to be successful, in the face of adversity.

Vincent joins names including Stephen Fry and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson on the inaugural list.  He says:

“I was really surprised to be included alongside some truly inspirational names because I never thought overcoming depression was dealing with a disability.  But the honour has made me realise that the Power 100 is about recognition of ability. If my inclusion in the list means that we all re-examine our propensity to judge based on ability to contribute rather than assumptions about what our colleagues cannot contribute, then we’ll be taking a big step towards creating an inclusive workplace.  I believe that is a responsibility all leaders share – whatever might impair us.”
