International job board Group, JobServe has today announced a move into South Africa with the establishment of a joint venture with Intergate Immigration Service CC. The joint venture will run a job board under the JobNet brand and provide both domestic South African job adverts and international job adverts.

Intergate Immigration Service CC is a long established South African immigration specialist with offices in both Cape Town and Johannesburg.

The new website can be found at www.job-search-south-africa.com

Commenting on the move into South Africa, Wendy Cowell, JobServe’s Global Online Sales & Business Development Manager said “according to the OECD, South Africa’s economic growth is likely to exceed expectations this year and next as a global economic rebound bolsters demand for exports. Africa’s largest economy will probably expand by over 5 percent in 2011, and both the mining and manufacturing sectors both face critical skill shortages. This is where JobServe’s international presence and our partner’s immigration skills can help.”

Cowell added “The territories for which JobServe has a dedicated presence continues to grow. We provide global coverage through our strongholds in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia and Thailand. Last year we moved into Germany and now, with JobNet SA, we have a local presence to service the needs of our South African customers and candidates.”

“We are delighted to be partnering with Intergate Immigration. Their managed pre- to post settling services have provided support to a large number of businesses over the years. The release of JobNet SA provides further support for businesses seeking specialised skills requiring relocation to South Africa, along with additional services for those who find work and need support in relocating or obtaining the appropriate permits/visas.”

The JobNet SA website is networked with the other JobServe websites globally, and is also part of the Jobg8 network – achieving the optimum reach of candidates for recruiters advertising on JobNet.

Cowell concluded, “JobServe remains committed to continued provision of the highest level of service to candidates and customers alike. The launch of JobNet and our other exciting joint venture partnerships is wholly in-tune with this goal, and I look forward to announcing further new ventures shortly in line with our increased activity across multiple areas as we continually broaden our global reach.”
