Jobserve Down Under

JOBSERVE MD Robbie Cowling announced this week that he is looking to export his successful online recruitment operation to Australia.

The entrepreneur is flying out to Sydney on Friday (May 31st) to join three of his team who have spent the last few weeks in Australia talking to recruitment companies and other potential clients. This is the first stage in Jobserve''s ambitious plans to expand into Australia.

Explaining why he had chosen Australia, Mr Cowling said: ìAustralia represents a real opportunity for us to move into a new market place. There are obvious advantages including the language and cultural similarities, but where we have a head start is that there are thousands of Australian contractors working in the UK as well as British contractors over there who already know the Jobserve name and have benefited from what we have to offer.î

The Jobserve Australia team have already set up an office in Sydney headed up by Louise Stewart, previously based at Jobserveís headquarters in Tiptree near Colchester.

Speaking from Sydney, she said: ìWe are getting a very positive response. Many people are already familiar with the Jobserve name and brand and they know it represents quality, efficiency and value.î

The first company in the world to send details of jobs out by email back in 1994, Jobserve has continued to lead the way in online recruitment, as one of the most profitable and fastest growing companies in the UK.

ìIt may seem strange to some that this company from a sleepy little village like Tiptree is heading down under to the glitz and glamour of Sydney,î said Robbie Cowling, ìbut from what we have seen to date, our international reputation as one of the leading players in this field, goes ahead of us and the next few months are going to be very exciting. Above all though we will be listening very carefully to what our potential customers in Australia want and we will work hard to deliver it.î
