Jobs4publicsector strengthens its service - 02/2001

Partnership with blueU

Jobs4publicsector has forged a new partnership with blueU, an online training and development agency to help combat skills shortage prevalent in the public sector.

By joining up with leading e-learning solution provider blueU, jobs4publicsector.com can provide one of the most comprehensive selections of online training courses in the UK, with over 500 specialist courses on offer including financial, interpersonal, business management skills as well as computer literacy qualifications.

Most importantly, European Career Systems, (the company behind the recent launch of jobs4publicsector.com), has decided to work with blueU because they are the only online training organisation that allows people to apply for Individual Learning Accounts (ILA) over the Internet. The ILA is a government training initiative as part of its long-life learning programme. It means that the government pay 80% of the cost of approved training, with the trainee paying the remainder.

Mike Burt, the CEO of European Career Systems expounds: jobs4publicsector is offering a recruitment service to the public sector which is very different to and more meaningful than the ordinary jobsite. We are about placing people, not advertising vacancies, and that means we are delivering all the necessary facilities and tools to
ensure that the recruiter and the jobseeker reach the right decision about each other. Training is an essential part of this and I am therefore delighted with the relationship that ECS has now established, with BlueU.
