Jobs in recruitment - 07/2001

-

The Cambridge based Recruitment to Recruitment team announces the launch of an Internet based ìInterview Roomî within their new recruitment portal: www.r2r.co.uk. The site carries jobs in recruitment only and is ready to go live on August 1st. Prior to launch, special sign-up arrangements are available to all agencies and recruitment personnel.

In addition to browsing jobs, visitors have the unusual opportunity to explore a new job with an agency employer online. The dialogue between agency and candidate takes place in ìThe Interview Roomî in complete privacy. Recruitment industry visitors automatically gain access after registering and interviewees have the additional protection of anonymity via a unique username. Once online, interviews continue until the agency or the candidate decides to withdraw or is ready to arrange a meeting. R2R claim that face-to-face interviews at this stage are more likely to reach a positive conclusion because the key issues will have been fully explored online, by both parties.

Nick Rayner, R2R MD explains: ìRecruitment industry candidates attending interviews with competitive agencies are entitled to 100% confidentiality, especially at the first exploratory meetings. However, our industry is populated with some of the most perceptive net-workers on the planet. Regrettably this inter-agency network is often the source of gossip that soon reaches the management of a candidateís own agency. Obviously this causes great embarrassment. The process, from initial contact to first interview has now become so fraught with risks, recruitment consultants contemplate a move to a competitor with great trepidation. Now, ìInterview Roomî is a unique recruitment tool that solves these problems. It satisfies the candidateís requirement for total security and provides a viable new opportunity for all recruitment and R2R agencies, to reach a large pool of high-quality personnel.î
