Introducing Interserve learning & employment

New organisation brings together esg and Interserve Working Futures

Interserve’s education, skills and employability business will operate under a new name from today – Interserve Learning & Employment.

The change follows Interserve’s acquisition of the Employment and Skills Group (esg), a provider of vocational skills and employability services, in December 2014 and its subsequent combination with Interserve Working Futures (IWF). The combined business strengthens Interserve’s position in the education, skills and employability markets, increases our share of the Work Programme and makes us one of the largest private sector suppliers of apprenticeships in the UK.

A key component of Interserve’s front line public service strategy, the combined business brings a number of benefits, including the sharing of best practice across contracts, the combined strength of a single management team and new opportunities to integrate skills and employment services.

Chris Peel, Interserve’s Managing Director for UK Skills & Employment Services, said:

“This is a key milestone in the integration of esg into Interserve and will allow us to use the strength of the two organisations to take advantage of future opportunities. This combination of IWF and esg will help us continue to develop and improve the services we provide to the thousands of people we support every day to gain valuable qualifications and sustainable employment opportunities”.

Interserve Learning & Employment’s new website at www.learning-employment.com is set to go live at the beginning of May.
