Institute Of Directors competition winners

Young entrepreneurs at Nurselink recognised

Link 24 7 have been named the overall winner of the prestigious Institute of Directorsí Young Entrepreneur Awards. The Awards, to celebrate the efforts of young entrepreneurs in Kent, took place on Thursday 21st March at the Institute of Directorsí headquarters in Pall Mall, London.

The contest is designed to identify the leading startup business which has demonstrated exceptional innovation and invention over the past 2 years. Hewlett Packard sponsored the event with David Smith of HP being very impressed with the level of innovation and thinking behind the Nurselink concept.

Nurselink has been developed to alleviate the often time consuming and expensive process of hospitals finding agency nurses at the last minute. It is provided free of charge to healthcare organizations with Nursing agencies paying a small monthly subscription to use the facility.

Prizes included 2000 worth of Hewlett Packard Equipment. Chris Carter, founder of Link 24 7, said: The enormous interest we have had following the recent release of Nurselink version 2.0, has led to a huge demand for on site demonstrations of our service. Winning this equipment from Hewlett Packard means we can now move ahead with providing time limited trials to potential customers using this excellent equipment provided to us.

Nurselink.co.uk is a system that allows health care establishments with booking requests to meet agencies with the available and experienced staff that they require. This is achieved via software provided through an Internet browser and an exchange where the requirements and availability of agency staff are matched together.
